USA Rapidly Moving Up the COVID-19 Cases per capita Leader Board

Of course the USA has the most number of total COVID-19 cases by far, but I have seen Trump apologists complaining that the total number is not what is important but the number of infections per head of population.

OK, lets look at the background tables here.

On 2020–05–06 the USA was 14th on the ladder.

However:

By 2020–05–28 the USA was 8th on the ladder.

You can see from the tables that there are few small nation-states above the USA that are only in that position beacuse of statistical anomalies ie because of their low population numbers - but it is clear - “American Exceptionalism” is showing other countries how to climb up the Leader Board!
